Alphenia "Spanky" Reddick Memorial Tribute
Alphenia "Spanky" Lenore Reddick
June 17, 1978 - April 15, 2024
ALPHENIA LENORE REDDICK, affectionately known as "Spanky," was the son of Alphenia Reddick and Doretha Fead. He was born on June 17, 1978, in Live Oak, Florida, but was a lifelong resident of Greenville, Florida.
Preceding Alphenia in death were his brothers: Tony O'Neal Hamilton and Timothy McGee, Jr.; sisters: Keyoshia Fead and Shamire Fead; grandparents: R.J. Reddick and Frances Reddick; aunt: Fannie Mae Fead; and bonus grandfather: Peter Young.
Spanky was always fascinated with having a career as a first responder but was unable to achieve that goal because of health concerns. He refused to give up on this lifelong dream and as a result, he volunteered to assist other volunteers in rendering service for the Greenville Volunteer Fire Department.
Alphenia demonstrated his talent for creating beautiful oral arrangements during his employment with a florist. Likewise, he developed an interest in construction work and was proud of the finished products he had a hand in helping to build. His work on the major renovation project of his Alma Mata, Madison County High School, was another source of pride for him.
Spanky loved people but he especially treasured the good times he had in sharing his unconditional love of family. He used any and every occasion to bring the family together to create fond memories of great family times when everyone came together to enjoy the fellowship, food, and fun. It was also a time for him to demonstrate his latest dance moves.
Alphenia Lenore Reddick obediently answered his Heavenly Father's First Responder's call and transitioned to his eternal rest early in the morning of Monday, April 15, 2024. He has claimed the victory because he has been changed, healed, freed, and delivered.
