Andrew Lamar Flores
"Drew"
November 22, 1970 – January 16, 2023
"Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal."

Andrew Lamar Flores, the loveable son of Geneva Lewis, was born on November 22, 1970, in Orlando, Florida. He resided there until 2004 when he relocated to Madison, Florida. He was affectionately known as Drew by his family and friends.

Preceding Andrew in death were his mother: Geneva Lewis and sister: Patricia Flores.

Andrew began his educational experience in the Orange County School District. Having missed the opportunity for graduating there, he did not give up on this responsibility. Years later, he proudly graduated from Suwannee River Ridge Technical High School in Live Oak, Florida.

Andrew made the choice to accept Christ in his heart during his younger days. As he grew in grace, he joyfully "praised God from whom all blessings flow", and he did so in spirit and in truth.

Drew was gifted with an appreciation of and love for music. He respected the many genres of music – from gospel to blues and everything else in between. Because he also enjoyed singing and playing the piano, he often displayed his talent on TikTok.

Andrew was a people person who easily networked with others in the community. He was one who noticeably established new friendships and working relationships on any given day. As the owner of Flores Detailing, Drew was able to combine his love for people and his passion for detailing vehicles.

On Monday, January 16, 2023, Andrew "Drew" Lamar Flores quietly and unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord. His passing leaves a void in the hearts and minds of many throughout the community. However, by keeping him in their hearts, his beautiful spirit will live on forever.

"It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God took you home." Cherishing  Andrew "Drew" Lamar Flores's life and  loving memory, but most of all, holding on to God's unchanging hand, are his loving wife of nearly 20 years: Susie Thomas Flores of Madison, FL; sons: Jarquez (Kevisa) Jackson and Jesse (Fantavia) Jackson, all of Madison, FL; daughters: LaShunda Givens and Rodrica Givens, both of Madison, FL; granddaughters raised as his own: Shanika Arnold of Coral Springs, FL, and Keosha Lewis of Madison, FL;  brothers: Ricky Hill and Robert (Kiesha) Hill, all of Orlando, FL, Berlin Knowles of Kansas City, MO; godson: DayShawn McDaniel of Lee, FL; brother-in-law: Larry Martin-Thomas of St. Petersburg, FL; sisters-in-law: Shirley (Rev. Charlie) Barfield, Margo Gill, and Valerie H. Thomas, all of Madison, FL, Marva (Robert) Hubbard and Alice Edward Thomas, all of Jacksonville, FL, and Dorothy McQuay of Lee, FL; aunts: Alice Lowery of Orlando, FL and Mattique (Tracey) Williams of VA; uncles: Michael Lewis and Ronnie Lewis, both of Orlando, FL; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; along with many other sorrowful relatives and loving friends.
