Remembering The Life's Journey Of...
Sister Annie Mae Anderson Ross
March 10, 1952 – February 11, 2024
"Earth Has No Sorrow  at Heaven Cannot Heal"

The life journey of Annie Mae Anderson Ross began with her birth in Madison, Florida, on March 10, 1952. She was the only daughter of Willie Anderson and Clara Belle Anderson, who along with other family members, and concerned neighbors in her hometown community shared the responsibility of raising Annie Mae and her brother. She was a resident of Madison, Florida.

Thanks be to God for every remembrance of the family connection. Preceding Annie Mae in death were both of her parents, her only daughter, Angela "Weebie" Ross Cooks, and her only brother, Willie Anderson.

She attended the Madison County Public Schools and graduated from Suwanee River High School.

The older members of her community instilled in Annie Mae that she could not travel this road called life alone. They encouraged her (early in her life) to accept Christ as her Lord and Savior. Annie did so by faith and after baptism became a faithful member of New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Madison, FL until she relocated.

As the matriarch, Annie Mae worked hard to provide for her family. She worked for ITT Metal Products Plant, and the tobacco industry in her younger days. She retired from Gold-Kist (Pilgrim's Pride) Poultry Plant after many years of dedicated service to enjoy the goodness of retirement life. When she was able, she loved preparing Sunday dinners. Most requested was her mouth- watering lima beans with rice, cornbread, and barbeque chicken. Annie Mae enjoyed quality time sitting on the front porch, laughing, and sharing old stories with her family. She loved telling her grandchildren and great grandchildren about hard work.

Annie Mae will be remembered most for her favorite expressions: "Might as well." and "What up?"

In her relaxation, she looked forward to going to her favorite fishing banks and watching syndicated series of "Sanford and Son" and "Good Times" from yesteryear.

On Sunday evening, February 11, 2024, Annie Mae Anderson Ross concluded her life Journey to live eternally with the Lord. She is gone from the presence of her loved ones and friends but never from their hearts. It is hard to forget someone so special.

"A precious one from us has gone..." Loved ones who share an emptiness in their hearts because Annie Mae Anderson Ross's "voice is now still" are her lifelong partner: Tommy House, Sr. of Madison, FL; sons: Tommy (Sharonda) House, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and Marvin House of Madison, FL; grandchildren: Tinicha (Geremy) Jackson, Mellissa Cooks, Markeyvia House, Tommie House, Markeyvious House, Makenzie House, and Maci House, all of Madison, FL, Tamon House of Jacksonville, FL, and Jaizlyn Gardner of Live Oak, FL; five great- grandchildren; a special neighbor, Stacie Barrett, who loved and cared for her as she would her very own grandmother; along with many other sorrowing relatives, and consoling friends.
