"Baby Doll" Life Story
1973 – 2023
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." ~2 Timothy 4:7

Chiquita La'Quan Swilley, the daughter of Oliver Smith, Sr. and Alma Swilley, was born on August 20, 1973. She was affectionately known as "Baby Doll". Except for the seven years she lived in Warner Robins, Georgia, she was a lifelong resident of Madison, Florida.

Chiquita was preceded in death by her mother: Alma Swilley and her sister: Minister Sheila Seymore Samuels.

As a result of her mother's untimely passing during their youth, Chiquita and her siblings were nurtured by their village – members of their extended family and church who instilled in them the importance of having a relationship with God. She accepted Christ as her savior and began her Christian experience of active involvement in the youth department at Mt. Nebo A.M.E. Church in Madison, Florida. During her years in Warner Robins, Chiquita worshipped at End Time Harvest Christian Center under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Melvin Womack.

An important lesson Chiquita learned early and later passed on to her children was never forget the strength of the family. In addition to their creating memories of the good times they shared during the holidays and other family activities, family could always be counted on to support each other and to love each other unconditionally.

Chiquita enjoyed life and did not take any part of it for granted. She was sociable and friendly. She never met strangers, for she regarded them as friends she was just getting to know. She loved to sing, dance, and look good. She was creative in choosing her "Uniquely Chiquita" hair styles and her "dress to the nines" fashions. In her own way, she confirmed that when you look good and feel good about yourself, you are truly blessed.

Chiquita La'Quan Swilley stood on the promises of Jesus as she held onto God's unchanging hand and fought the good fight of faith. However, on Sunday, February 5, 2023, she obeyed the Master's call, for she gently closed her eyes, departed this earthly life, and quietly transitioned to her eternal home where she will forever sing with the angels and dance before the King.

A void that only God can fill is left in the hearts of Chiquita La'Quan Swilley's loved ones; they will miss her until they meet again. Forever cherishing her life, love, and legacy are her loving and devoted children: Britney Davis, Brianca Swilley, Bryan Williams, Bryce Swilley, and Darius Keeling, Jr.; the "apples-of-her-eye" grandchildren: Bryliee Williams and Landon Williams; father: Oliver Smith, Sr.; siblings: Kimberly Williams, Debrieta Ferguson, Rayshell Long, Latonya Smith, Ulysses Seymore, Otis Smith, and Oliver Smith, Jr.; aunts: Alice (Gene) Grace, Beverly Knox, Brenda (Curtis) Dennis, and Regina Yulee; uncles: Ferris (Terri) Swilley and Kip (Bernadette) Yulee; special bonus parents: Lamar and Henrietta Eady; a host of nieces and nephews, along with countless other sorrowing relatives and loving friends.
