"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." - Philippians 1:21
Christine Rochelle Alexander, a lifelong resident of Madison, Florida, was the daughter of Eddie Gene McCray and Josephine Alexander McCray. She was nurtured by her parents and extended family members to become a lovable, caring, and respectful person.
Preceding Christine in death were her parents and her sister: Amy Adams.
Her supportive family also encouraged Christine to have a meaningful relationship with the Lord. After accepting Him as her Savior, she became a member of Antioch African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Christine was a hard worker who provided for her family. During her career, she was gainfully employed at Dixie Packers meat processing plant, Joanne Bridges Center for girls, and Madison Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was no stranger to hard work and was determined to give her best effort on each job. She also got along with everyone and joyfully brightened their day.
Christine loved her children unconditionally and wanted only the best for them. As an act of love, she worked to support them and to encourage their having the same work ethic. As for her grandchildren, they were blessings that stole her heart.
In addition to working hard, Christine also enjoyed her time away from the job. She was a people person, but she also enjoyed her personal time and space. She loved to cook, dance, listen to music, and to shop. Once she completed these busy pastime activities, she would unwind with pleasurable reading.
Christine Alexander blessed many hearts with her life, her laughter, and her love. However, the time came for her to cross from this walk of life; therefore, on Friday, January 13, 2023, she entered eternal glory to dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
The spiritual legacy of Christine Rochelle Alexander will be embedded in the hearts of her loved ones who will truly miss her until they meet again. Among them are her children: Cha'vaz Gee and Kei'Shonda Baggs, both of Madison, FL; companion: Cedric Gee of Madison, FL; god daughter: My'terria Tucker of Huntsville, AL; brothers: Rodney Pridgeon of Madison, FL, Jermaine Efford of Miami, FL, and Darius Travis of Tampa, FL; sisters: Celena McCray of Madison, FL, Katrina Efford of Miami, FL, and Sheila (James) Gilyard of Lee, FL; grandchildren: La'Lani Gee, Lauryn West and London West; aunts: Geraldine Alexander and Mae Linda Alexander, both of Madison, FL; uncles: Ulysses (Annie) Alexander of Miami, FL, Thomas Alexander, Jerry Alexander, and Clarence Alexander, all of Madison, FL; special friends: Veronica (Lorenzo) Haynes, Latoria Ghent, and Tonya Solomon; together with a host of sorrowing relatives and loving friends.
