Claude Carl Miller was born on October 30, 1962, in Belle Glade, Florida, to the late Doretha Brown Miller and Charles Marshall. From the very beginning, Carl carried a gentle spirit and a heart full of compassion—qualities that would shape his life and touch every person blessed to know him.
Raised in Belle Glade, Carl received his education through the local school system and quickly became known as someone who genuinely cared for others. He had a natural gift for connecting with people, making them feel seen, valued, and welcomed. Whether through a warm smile, a kind word, or a helping hand, Carl lived a life rooted in love, generosity, and service.
Carl never met a stranger. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and ease to any room he entered. He was the kind of man who would stop what he was doing to help someone in need, no matter how big or small the task. His kindness was not occasional—it was who he was. His compassion was not selective—it was extended to all. His heart was truly one of gold.
On August 10, 2017, Carl married the love of his life, Raquel Miller, and together they built a bond grounded in devotion, respect, and unwavering companionship. Their union was a blessing—one filled with shared dreams, quiet joys, and a deep, enduring love that will forever remain in Raquel’s heart.
Family was the center of Carl's world. He loved deeply, supported faithfully, and encouraged wholeheartedly. They were all his pride and joy, and he poured into his family the same love, strength, and compassion that defined his life. To his siblings, extended family, and friends, Carl was a steady presence-dependable, uplifting, and always willing to listen.
Carl departed this earthly life on May 30, 2026, surrounded by the love he so freely gave. Though his physical presence will be deeply missed, the legacy he leaves behind is rich and enduring. His laughter, his kindness, his generosity, and his unwavering love will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew him.
"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near."
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Raquel Miller of Tallahassee, Florida; his children, Carl Miller, Jr. of Tallahassee, Florida; Lashawndra Robinson of Augusta, Georgia; Katoria Stokes of Tallahassee, Florida; Markis (Ashley) Miller of Thomasville, Georgia; Ciara Williams of Tallahassee, Florida; and Freddie Williams of Tallahassee, Florida. He is also survived by his siblings, Irvin (Marcia) Miller; Charles (Eileen) Miller of Columbus, Ohio; Vanette Miller of Dania Beach, Florida; and Brenda McKenzie (Derrick) of Pahokee, Florida; along with 11 beloved grandchildren, his sister-in-law: Tamara Bennett of Tallahassee, Florida; a host of nieces and nephews who adored him; and a special aunt, Brenda Bryant.
Carl was preceded in death by his loving parents, Doretha Brown Miller and Charles Marshall.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Carl’s love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will forever remain with us. His life was a testament to kindness, compassion, and the power of a generous heart. His legacy will continue to inspire all who were blessed to walk beside him.
