Devan Wayne Robinson, Jr.
April 11, 1988 – February 9, 2024
"JJ" | "Jr."
"It is Well with My Soul"
Devan Wayne Robinson, Jr., the loving son of Devan Robinson, Sr. and Lashawn Robinson, was born on April 11, 1988. He was affectionately called "Jr." and/or "JJ" by his loved ones. Beginning at his age of understanding, the adults in his life taught him to show love, be obedient and humble, use manners, and to be respectful; he did not stray from his training. Devan was a resident of Hinesville, Georgia.
"JJ" is another link in reconnecting the Robinson and Feacher family chains. Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, James Arthur Robinson and Pearlie Mae Robinson and maternal great-grandmother, Ellen Feacher.
His personal confession of his belief in Jesus Christ as his Redeemer brought Devan boldly to the throne of grace. The joy of the Lord was his strength.
Devan was a gentle giant. On the one hand, he was outspoken and opinionated, but could also be funny with his playfulness and clowning around.
Jr. loved his family and showed his affection daily, for they were his pride and joy, and he was their provider and protector. He was an attentive and loving husband as well as the "World's Best Dad."
One of the greatest joys of Devan's life was spending quality time with his extended family members. His love for them inspired him to use every opportunity to bring everyone together for any occasion, whether it was a weekend visit, a holiday gathering, cookouts, or impromptu "just because" activities where they could enjoy the fellowship, food, fun and to make memories to pass along to future generations. He also made it a point to stay connected with phone calls as often as possible.
Educated in the Madison County School District, JJ was a 2006 graduate of Madison County High School. He later received his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from Grantham University. This opened doors for other career opportunities. He later received extensive training for certifications in law enforcement and worked on the local and federal level for the Department of Corrections. He studied to become an insurance agent before he qualified as a driver in the trucking business. He named his company "By Any Means Necessary - Logistics, LLC." The adventurous road trips in driving the big rigs he named "Becky," "White Chocolate," and "Old Man" all helped him "See America first."
"It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you; the day God took you home." The Lord chose Friday, February 9, 2024, to bring his compassionate servant home to receive a crown of righteousness from the Righteous Judge and to earn his eternal rest. Devan Jr. is gone from his loved one's sights, but he can never be forgotten.
Devan Wayne Robinson, Jr.'s legacy of family, strength, goodwill, and his unconditional love for all will continually be embedded in his loved one's hearts. Forever cherishing his precious memory are his loving and devoted wife: Tequilla Reese Robinson of Hinesville, GA; daughters: Kennedi Robinson of Hinesville, GA and Ja'Daja Robinson of Valdosta, GA; son: Deven Wayne Robinson III; parents: Lashawn Robinson of Madison, FL and Devan Wayne (Debra) Robinson, Sr. of Trenton, FL; sisters: Katisha Shantrell Robinson of Madison, FL, Erica Brown of St. Petersburg, FL, Regina Barnes of Madison, FL, and Tanya Shaw of Sanford, FL; sister-in-law: Devetrianna (Juan) Williams, Latonya Nolen, Sydonna Reese, Nettie Reese, and Clara (Tyrone) Guinnie; brother-in-law: Antonio Reese of Tampa, FL, Derrick Reese of Riverview, FL, OC Akins of Quincy, FL, and Dawoo Shannon of Columbus, OH; maternal grandmother: Ella Mae Brown of Madison, FL; along with countless other sorrowing relatives and comforting friends.
