Life Story
Mother Earnestine Taylor
1950 – 2021

Death is the last chapter in time but the first chapter in eternity. A life-long resident of Madison, FL, Mother Earnestine Taylor spent her lifetime of 71 years completing the chapters of her own life story before she would begin her new chapter in eternity. She was preceded in death by her parents: Jake Taylor and Mamie James; her companion of more than 35 years: Wesley Morgan; and siblings: Annie Mae, Margaret Harris, Joyce Crawford, and Willie Mae Denson.

Mother Earnestine learned early in her life to love the Lord and to always keep Him first in everything she did. She also instilled these same values in her children by the examples she set. She demonstrated her love for the Lord by letting the things she did be done in love. She loved her family and enjoyed the special times they shared together. She also loved everyone whose lives she encountered on a daily basis.

From the work ethic she developed earlier in life, Mother Taylor was able to provide for her family. Her work experiences ranged from field work in the peach orchards to cooking at Hillcrest Dairy Bar (currently O'Neal's Restaurant) to her becoming a home health care aide. Regardless of the job, Mother Taylor lovingly left a deep impression on everyone's life she impacted.

For her relaxation, Mother Earnestine enjoyed spending hours fishing, preparing delicious meals, watching her favorite television shows from the past — Gunsmoke, The Rifleman, and Bonanza, challenging her spelling skills for Wheel of Fortune, and trying to unravel the daily complicated lifestyles and situations of her favorite soap opera characters.

"I am at peace, my soul is at rest. There is no need for tears, for with your love I was so blessed for all these years." On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, Mother Earnestine Taylor completed the last chapter of her life story, only to begin her first chapter in eternity.

Mother Taylor's love and legacy will continue to live in the hearts of all who loved and knew her. Forever cherishing her memory while mourning her passing are her children: Sandy (Belinda) Turner, Eric (Teaktha) Turner, Rebecca (Edward) Jackson, Stephanie (Sammie) West, and Cierra (LeOrma) Morgan, all of Madison, FL, and Deyon (Debra) Turner of Indianapolis, IN; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and brother: Johnny Taylor of Madison, FL; along with numerous other sorrowing relatives and loving friends.
