Sister Edna Mae Adams Pride
October 28, 1953 – October 5, 2024
"I Shall Wear a Crown … Soon as I Get Home."

Sister Edna Mae Adams Pride, the daughter of Isadore Adams and Katie Mae Hall Adams, was born on October 28, 1953, in Tampa, Florida. However, the family relocated to Madison, Florida, where they lived and worked on Chasen Farms. Years later, they moved to their Happy Street home and were welcomed into the community. She remained a lifelong resident of Madison, Florida.

Edna Mae's life reflected many life lessons she learned from the nurturing members of her village – her hard-working parents who were supported by their concerned neighbors and caring family members, all who impressed upon her the importance of having a love for God, integrity, generosity, and compassion for all.

Edna Mae accepted Christ as her Redeemer and joined the community of faith as a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church.

Educated in the Madison County School District, Edna was a friendly and fun-loving 1975 graduate of Madison High School. She later chose the career path and because she enjoyed the outdoors and the beauty of nature, she was gainfully employed with Superior Trees Nursery. She was a dedicated employee who willingly gave her untiring service until her retirement.

Edna was a people-person, a social butterfly that loved and adored her family as much as life itself. She cherished the quality family times they all shared, especially when she prepared everyone's favorite foods for holidays or on special occasions. She also loved get-togethers where they enjoyed dancing or bowling. When she wanted to spend time away from the house, she looked forward to riding/taking road trips, fishing and crabbing.

Edna Mae Adams Pride blessed her loved ones' hearts with her beautiful life, her uplifting spirit, and her unconditional love. However, on Saturday, October 5, 2024, she quietly transitioned from her earthly life to receive her crown of victory, and to begin her eternal celebration with Jesus.

The legacy and fulfillment of life and purpose for Edna Mae Adams Pride will continue through her loved ones as well as the other lives she impacted. Her loved ones will always hold close to their hearts the everlasting memories that will always bind them together as family. Accepting their loss with Christian submission to God's will are her sons: Alfonso (DeShala) Frazier, of Lee, FL, Jarvis Pride, Nathaniel Pride, Michael Pride, and Gavin (Teonna Tillman) Pride, all of Madison, FL; daughter: Nicole (Sammy) Mapp of Madison, FL; brothers-in-law: Johnnie (Edith) Pride, Charles (Lucy) Pride, and Larry (Thelma) Pride; sisters-in-law: Lula Mae (David) Tweggs and Barbara (Rev.
