Evangelist Eula Mae McKnight
May 8, 1958 – September 3, 2021
"Go, preach My gospel," saith the Lord.
Bid the whole earth My grace receive.
Explain to them My sacred word;
Bid them believe, obey, and live.
Evangelist Eula Mae McKnight was born to Geneva McKnight in Havana, FL, but she was a lifelong resident of Madison, FL. Her mother; son: Danielle Wiggins; brothers: Willie McKnight and Cleveland "Keybo" McKnight; nephews: Christopher Ware, and William "Maine" McKnight; and adopted daughter-in-law: Chermon Lewis, all preceded her in death.
Evangelist Eula Mae was the identical twin sister to Connie Mae who, until they reached adulthood and had their own families, were always together; one sister was seldom, if ever, seen without the other. They were 1976 graduates of Madison High School.
Evangelist McKnight loved the Lord and served Him with gladness. She was a believer who was baptized by faith, and used as His witness for reaching others. She was a "people person" with a heart of gold. She reached out to help others in need because she knew it was her Christian duty to do so. It was not unusual that she often opened the doors of her home to them.
As a faithful member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church until her health began to decline, she loved being a part of the ministerial staff because of the fulfillment of His purpose.
Because of her passion for children, Evangelist McKnight first chose to become an at-home childcare provider. She later opted to work at the following daycare centers: ACTT, Bright Days, Kids Inc. of North Florida, and Kids World. Children of all ages reflect on the daily lessons that she taught, for she seasoned each one with love, kindness, and respect.
Among Evangelist McKnight's favorite wind down activities were cooking and watching soap operas. She loved seeing others enjoy her meals and/or specialty dishes. She also loved watching "The Young and the Restless", "The Bold and the Beautiful", and "The Guiding Light" whenever she had the time to do so.
On Friday, September 3, 2021, Evangelist Eula Mae McKnight took her evangelism to a new level of spirituality. She now resides in her heavenly home where she will continue to serve the Lord with gladness forever and ever.
Death leaves heartache that no one can heal. Love leaves memories that no one can steal. Cherishing Evangelist Eula Mae McKnight's sweet memories are her sons: Chadwick Powell and Samuel Houston, both of Madison, FL; daughters: Aquilla Powell and Jasmine Turner, both of Madison, FL; adopted sons: Deacon Bruce Denson, Sr. and Demarcus Fudge, both of Madison, FL; brothers: Sylvester Bellamy of Tampa, FL and Jerome McKnight of Madison, FL; sisters: Connie Mae (Rev. Leonard) Ware of Madison, FL, Virginia (Stanley) Bennett of Cherry Lake, FL, and Marie Adams, also of Madison, FL; six grandchildren; along with many other sorrowing relatives and loving friends.
