Mrs. Gracie Mae Roberson Jackson
1965 -2023
"The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want." ~Psalm 23:1
Mrs. Gracie Mae Roberson Jackson, the daughter of Allen Roberson and Dorothy Haynes Williams, was born on October 3,1965, in Ft. Pierce (St. Lucie County), Florida. She lived in that area during her childhood until the family relocated to Madison, Florida, where she became a lifelong resident.
Preceding Mrs. Gracie in death were her parents: Allen Roberson and Dorothy Haynes Williams, and bonus father: Eddie Mack Williams, Sr.; sisters: Brenda Roberson, Laverne Roberson; brothers: Jerry Roberson, Gregory Williams, Lewis Williams; and grandson: Antfernee Barkley, Jr.
When God spoke to her heart, Mrs. Gracie believed Christ to be her Redeemer and was baptized by faith. In her daily walk with Him, she was determined to live by Christian examples - being loving, compassionate, and kind, but most of all, by treating others as she desired to be treated.
Mrs. Gracie was an independent woman with love, strength, and determination. She loved her family unconditionally and blessed their lives with a helping hand and her willing heart. Because of her faith, God blessed her to be a good provider of their needs and many of their wants.
Among her places of employment were McDonald's and Family Dollar. Mrs. Gracie was a dedicated worker whose work ethic did not go unnoticed.
As much as Mrs. Gracie loved her children, she was especially fond of and had extra love for her grandchildren. She enjoyed the times they all had together. They shared many activities and created countless memories. Among these are fishing, singing, dancing, playing video games, and watching horror movies.
At the close of her life journey, Gracie Mae Roberson Jackson answered God's divine call for her pain and suffering to cease. She obediently departed this earthly life and transitioned to her eternal home on Friday, November 3, 2023.
When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. Loved ones who will treasure the memory of Gracie Mae Roberson Jackson until they meet again are her husband of 24 years: John Jackson of Madison, FL; sons: Henry Roberson of Miami, FL and Jerome Roberson of Madison, FL; daughters: Latoya (Darian, Jr.) Edwards of Valdosta, GA, Regina Roberson of Madison, FL, Alexius Joseph of Tallahassee, FL, and Sharlay Jackson of Madison, FL; brothers: Eddie Mack (Phyllis) Williams, Jr., Frederick (Liz) Williams of Homestead, FL; and Allen Roberson of Jacksonville, FL; eleven grandchildren; together with many other sorrowing relatives, and compassionate friends.
