Obituary

Gregory Glen Fordham Sr.
September 1, 1964 – August 16, 2026

Gregory Glen Fordham Sr., affectionately known to many of his friends as “Giddy,” was born on September 1, 1964, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Laverne Moore Revels and Tim Fordham. In 1998, Gregory made Middleburg, Florida, his home, where he would spend many meaningful years building memories with the people he loved most.

Gregory was a devoted husband, loving father, proud Papa, loyal friend, and a man who lived life in his own unmistakable way. He shared 44 beautiful years of marriage with the love of his life, Linda “Tootsie” Fordham. Together, they built a family filled with love, laughter, memories, and the kind of bond that only grows stronger through the years.

Gregory was a proud father to Amanda (Richard) Pullum of Middleburg, Florida; Rebecca Fordham of Middleburg, Florida; and Gregory Fordham Jr. of Middleburg, Florida. His greatest joys were his grandchildren—Alyssa, Sebastian, Alanna, Christopher, and Charlotte—whom he loved dearly. To them, he was simply Papa, and being their Papa was one of the greatest blessings of his life. He treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren and took great pride in watching them grow.

For more than 20 years, Gregory worked at Anchor Glass Container, where he dedicated himself to his work and the people around him. In 2006, he became disabled, but even through life's changes, Gregory remained a man who appreciated the simple pleasures and the people who made life meaningful.

Gregory enjoyed spending his free time fishing, playing cornhole, and enjoying a cold beer with his buddies. He loved good times, good friends, and plenty of laughter. In his younger years, Gregory was known for being a little wild and adventurous—one of those “good ole boys” who could often be found at the mud hole, making memories and enjoying life to the fullest.

Gregory was not a man who claimed to have lived a perfect life. He knew that he had not always made the right decisions, but those who truly knew him understood that he loved life and lived it out loud, always with the best of intentions. He had his own way of doing things, his own stories to tell, and his own unforgettable personality. His imperfections were part of his story, but so were his love, loyalty, humor, generosity, and the many memories he created along the way.

Among his many companions was his beloved dog, Hershey, who held a special place in his heart.

Gregory leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 44 years, Linda “Tootsie” Fordham; his children, Amanda (Richard) Pullum, Rebecca Fordham, and Gregory Fordham Jr.; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Sebastian, Alanna, Christopher, and Charlotte; his sister, Kim (Jeff) Smith of Hampton, Florida; his brother, Steve Fordham of Jacksonville, Florida; his brothers-in-love, Timmy Fennell and Rickey Jackson, both of Jacksonville, Florida; his stepfather, James Revels of Jacksonville, Florida; his beloved dog, Hershey; and a host of extended family members and friends who were blessed to know and love him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Laverne Revels; father, Tim Fordham; stepmother, Helen Fordham; brother, Buddy Fordham; cousins, Chris and Bobby Imler; father-in-love, Jabo Fennell; mother-in-love, Linda Jean Fennell; sisters-in-love, JoyAnn Fennell, Tracey Fennell, and Darlene Jackson; brother-in-love, Darrell Fennell; grandparents, affectionately known as Sweet Gran and Granddaddy Henry; beloved dog, Sassy Girl; and many other cherished family members and loved ones.

Gregory's life was filled with chapters—some wild, some challenging, many joyful, but all uniquely his own. He loved deeply, laughed loudly, made memories freely, and never pretended to be anyone other than himself. His greatest legacy will not be measured by perfection, but by the love he gave, the family he cherished, the friendships he formed, and the countless memories he leaves behind.

Though he has now taken his final journey, Gregory will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing “Giddy.”

Rest peacefully, Gregory. Your life was your story, your family was your greatest treasure, and your memories will live on forever.
