THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF
HUNDLEY “DJFATBOY305” PIERRE
AUGUST 9, 1997 – AUGUST 7, 2026

“When the beat dropped, you knew HUNDLEY was nearby.”

Some people enter a room quietly; others bring a presence that simply cannot be ignored. HUNDLEY PIERRE was the latter. His infectious smile, unforgettable laughter, loving heart, and passion for music created a rhythm all his own.

HUNDLEY was born on August 9, 1997, at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, to Melchi and Ismanie Pierre, becoming their first child born in America. In March 1998, his family relocated to Miami, Florida, and from then on, the 305 was home.

From childhood, HUNDLEY was adventurous, mischievous, and full of personality. He attended Lakeview Elementary School, where his warm spirit made him a favorite among teachers and staff, and later Horace Mann Middle School, where he participated in the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project and discovered a growing love for band and music.

At Miami Central Senior High School, HUNDLEY continued developing his musical gifts as a member of the marching band. His love for music soon extended into church, where he played the drums and guitar. He also enjoyed basketball, riding his bicycle, spending time with friends, and making memories with his family.

After graduating, HUNDLEY moved to Tallahassee, Florida, with aspirations of pursuing a career in funeral service. His journey later took him to Jacksonville, Florida, where he attended Edward Waters College, continuing his education and exploring the path he envisioned for his future. Yet, even as he pursued his studies, one passion remained impossible to ignore—music. Music continued calling his name, and HUNDLEY eventually embraced the gift that came so naturally to him. Determined to chart his own course, he transformed that passion into the unforgettable identity so many would come to know and love: DJFATBOY305.

In Tallahassee, HUNDLEY began making a name for himself through music. Behind the DJ name was the same young man his family had always known—fun-loving, passionate, compassionate, and able to brighten a room with his presence.

Even while facing his own challenges, HUNDLEY often reassured those who loved him by saying, “I’m okay.” His family would lovingly remind him, “HUNDLEY, it’s okay not to be okay." Still, he continued smiling, laughing, and bringing joy to others.

HUNDLEY also possessed a sincere gratitude for life. Every birthday, before sunrise, he would go to the beach and give thanks to Elohim-God-for another year.

One of the most meaningful moments of his journey came on April 28, 2026, when HUNDLEY recommitted his life to the Lord and was baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Overwhelmed with joy afterward, he called his family in tears, sharing that he had never experienced such love and that the presence of the Holy Spirit had touched him deeply.

On August 7, 2026, just two days before his 29th birthday, HUNDLEY'S earthly journey came to an end.

He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Melchi Pierre. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Ismanie Pierre; brother, Stevens Pierre; sisters, Melinda Lovely Pierre and his beloved "twin," Kerandra Pierre; along with his extended family and many devoted friends.

HUNDLEY will be remembered for his laughter, his smile, his music, his enormous personality, and most of all, his loving heart.

Though the earthly music has grown quiet, his family finds comfort in knowing that his final months included a renewed walk with God. They hold firmly to the promise that this separation is not forever.

So when you hear a familiar song, feel the bass drop, or find yourself laughing at a memory of HUNDLEY, remember:

The DJ may have stepped away from the both, but his beat lives on.

Until we meet again, keep the beat going-for the Lord.

Rest in Heavenly Peace, DJFATBOY305.
