In Loving Memory of Jack Walter Adams
March 26, 1950 – January 19, 2025
"In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." — Abraham Lincoln

Jack Walter Adams, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on March 26, 1950, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Jack was the cherished son of Walter Adams and Margerie Bernier. A devoted family man, he was the rock his loved ones leaned on, and his presence was a blessing to all who knew him. Jack's heart was as big as his commitment to his work and family, and he lived his life with passion, kindness, and integrity.

Jack dedicated his career to the Florida Department of Transportation as a Heavy Equipment Operator Supervisor in Perry, Florida (Taylor County). His work ethic and leadership were admired by all who worked alongside him, but his greatest joy came from mentoring others—whether it was guiding his children and grandchildren or helping a friend in need. He lived by the motto, "there's always going to be a rainbow at the end of the problem," always looking for the good and helping others do the same. His positivity and strength were constant sources of comfort, and he was always early, always prepared, and always there for anyone who needed him.

A true lover of life, Jack had many passions. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, golfing, and following his favorite football team, the Minnesota Vikings, with hopes of seeing them go to the championship this year. He was also an avid NASCAR fan, never missing a race. Jack's vibrant personality, sense of humor, and infectious smile made him a friend to all. His ministry of presence—simply being there for others—was one of his greatest gifts. He was a protector, a friend, and a hero to his family and community.

Jack is preceded in death by his brothers: Lee Adams, Gary Adams, and Bill Adams, and his sister: Amy Bernier. His passing leaves a void that will never be filled, but his love and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of those he left behind.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, LuAnn Marie Kendall Adams, of Jennings, FL; sons: Jason Adams (Amy Lawson) of Gilbert, Arizona, and Jesse Adams of Jennings, Florida; daughters: Jamie (Brooks) Adams Schooley of Oakgrove, Minnesota, and Jessica Schintgen of Minneapolis, Minnesota; brother: John (Farley) Bernier of Wooster, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; along with a host of other sorrowing relatives and loving friends.

Though we mourn his loss, we take comfort in knowing Jack's spirit will live on in each of us, and the lessons he imparted will continue to guide us in the years to come. The love he gave to each of us will never be forgotten, and we will always carry his memory in our hearts.
