IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Fudge

Brother James Fudge
"B U G G A"
"Some glad morning when this life is over, I'll fly away to a home on God's celestial shore, I'll fly away."
Brother James "Bugga" Fudge, a lifelong resident of Madison, Florida, was born to Ike Fudge and Charlotte Fudge on October 5, 1940. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his siblings: Easter Mae Edwards, Janie Gilyard, and Simmie Fudge.
Because of his desire to grow closer to the Lord, James accepted Him as his personal Savior. He was an active member of Mt. Nebo A.M.E. Church where he served the Lord with gladness. He was an usher who remained a faithful servant until his health began to decline.
James grew up in a household as well as within a community that valued hard work and education. He was able to handle many of life's challenges because of the education he received at Madison County Training School and the strength of the "village".
Having developed a work ethic earlier in life, James gained employment at Dixie Packers meat processing plant. He accepted many opportunities the job provided and retired with 25 years of dedicated service.
During his retirement, James had the opportunity to fill his days with many pastime activities. He enjoyed his new role as a carpenter who specialized in building picnic tables. He also spent much time catching up on countless episodes of Mountain Man and westerns, especially Gunsmoke. James also knew his way around the kitchen and proved it with his tasty creations.
God saw that Brother James Fudge was getting tired. For this reason, He granted James his angel wings on Sunday, February 20, 2022, so that he could fly away from labor to reward and to the land where joy shall never end.
The keepers of his cherished memories are his children: James (Greer) Fudge, Jr., and Jackie (Leroy) Burney, all of Perry, FL, Pamela Fudge and Ricky (Wanda) Pearson, all of Madison, FL; Clemon (Ruby) Walker of Augusta, GA, Gloria (Isaiah) Daniel and Annette Brodus, all of Barnwell, SC; siblings: Arthur (Rosemary) Fudge of Deltona, FL, William (Arleen) Fudge of Baldwin, FL, Willie (Debra) Fudge, Joe Fudge, Johnny (Sheila) Fudge, and Juanita (Willie) Gallon, all of Madison, FL; grandchildren: Jarvis Fudge, Ja'Kala Fudge, Iesha Davis, LaShundra White, Tanisha White, all of Perry, FL, Jessica Fudge of Cocoa, FL, Brodrick Pearson of Houston, TX, Brandon Pearson of Lake Park, GA, Larry Gee and April Gee, both of Tallahassee, FL; adorable great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, many other sorrowing relatives, friends, and neighbors.
