Brighten the Corner Where You Are

Jammie Marie Johnston McCormick, affectionately known as "J," was born in Canton, Ohio, on August 31, 1976, to Jeffrey Lee Johnston and Susan Marie Wickham Johnston. However, she grew up in Christmas, a small-town community of the Greater Orlando, Florida, area. Years later, she established her residency in Madison, Florida.

Jammie was humble, loveable, and compassionate - beautiful inside and out. She freely shared the things of life without expecting anything in return. She had a close relationship with her family and enjoyed being with them as often as possible. Because of her liveliness and her sense of humor, she was a great person to be around; she always provided the fun.

Jammie loved life to the fullest. With her endless energy, she also had time for herself by enjoying as many of her personal interests as possible. She loved to cook and was overjoyed at seeing the satisfaction of those who enjoyed the dishes she prepared.

Other pastime interests of Jammie's included her green thumb for growing plants, her fascination with doggies, her passion for music highlighted by her thrill at attending concerts, and her enjoyment of spending lazy afternoons at the beach. Likewise, she looked forward to occasionally having a change of scenery by traveling as often as possible.

In the end, it is not the years in one's life that count. It is the life in one's years. On Thursday, September 18, 2025, Jammie Marie Johnston McCormick departed her brief earthly life to find eternal rest. While she is gone from her loved ones' sight, her love can never be removed from their hearts.

Another leaf from the family tree has fallen into the sands of time where Jammie Marie Johnston McCormick has left her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. Someone so special can never be forgotten. Those who will continue to hold on to her precious memory are her devoted mother, Susan Marie Wickham Johnston of Madison, Florida; niece lovingly raised as her daughter, Kalista Johnston of Madison, Florida; sister, Jennifer Johnston of Amenia, New York, and nephew, Cameron Wesner of Amenia, New York; together with many other sorrowing relatives and comforting friends.

Preceding Jammie Marie Johnston McCormick in death was her father, Jeffrey Lee Johnston.
