Reflections of "Lady"
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." -John 14:1
Janet Deloris Jones , daughter of J.D. Jones, Jr. and Queen Williams Blackshear, began her first chapter of life on June 26, 1971, in Monticello, Florida. She later relocated to Madison, Florida, where she ultimately raised her children and established her career path.
Janet's father preceded her in death.
As she matured in life, Janet realized that there was an emptiness that could only be filled by her coming boldly to the Throne of grace to accept Christ as her personal Savior. She did so and was baptized by faith.
Janet's family and friends fondly called her "Lady". She was quite a lady - recognized for her cheerfulness, bright smile, and outgoing personality that typically brightened the lives of individuals she encountered daily. Janet was sociable, and in her leisure time, she enjoyed dancing.
Likewise, Lady also enjoyed being creative with home décor and cooking. She loved her family and was a nurturer who provided for them. She expressed her love for them in memorable ways, such as hosting family gatherings and preparing the meals for these occasions.
Janet Deloris Jones' last earthly chapter ended at the close of her life journey - "her page turned, her life well lived, her rest well-earned." On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, Lady transitioned from this walk of life. Turning the page was not easy for her loved ones, but they had hope in knowing that her next and most promising chapter began in eternity.
The loved ones of Janet Deloris Jones who will miss her until they meet her again are her devoted daughters: Nekedra Brooks and Lashondra Neely, both of Tallahassee, FL, Tarnesha (Kevin) Rice of Atlanta, GA, and Zakerria Griffin of Madison, FL; loving mother: Queen Williams Blackshear of Madison, FL; compassionate partner: Jerome Cason of Tallahassee, FL; supportive brothers: Gene Jones and James (Latonya) Jones all of Orlando, FL, Kenneth Jones and Ozell Jones, both of Madison, FL, and Shawn Jones of Monticello, FL; attentive sister: Tamelia Jones of Tallahassee, FL; five wonderful grandchildren; along with many other loving relatives and sorrowing friends and concerned neighbors.
