Jason Theodore Crumel was welcomed into the world on April 2, 1997 by his parents James Crumel, Sr. and Tammy Moss Crumel. He was a lifelong resident of Tallahassee, Florida. Preceding him in death was his grandfather, Shealy Crumel.

Early in his life, Jason professed his faith in Jesus Christ and became an active member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

Having the love, encouragement, and support of his loving parents, Jason was taught to give his best effort in all he attempted.  This shaped him to live the Golden Rule, to have a caring spirit, to love family, and to have a positive outlook for a full life.

Jason was educated in the Leon County school system and was a 2015 graduate of Lawton Chiles High School. He broadened his education at Valencia (Orlando) and later at Tallahassee Community College where he received his Associate of Arts degree. Afterwards, he enrolled in the School of Business and Industry at his beloved Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. In May 2020, he graduated virtually with his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Having achieved this major accomplishment, Jason highly anticipated the opportunity when he would work his way up the corporate ladder to become the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a Fortune 500 Company and for him to travel and/or live in places he had only imagined. In the meantime, Jason was gainfully employed locally at Gordos Cuban Cuisine Restaurant. This job provided him with work experience necessary to pave the way for his dream position.

Jason was a sports enthusiast. He loved watching NBA and NFL games but his personal passion was playing golf. He enjoyed the game because it gave him opportunities to network, to meet new people, or just to have a friendly chat with others on the green. He also loved to fish and bring home the catch of the day or otherwise, talk about the ones that got away.

Jason never met a stranger, no matter their age. He was very gregarious, a real people person who possessed an infectious, "environmental" smile that could  light up any room. For these reasons, he found his niche in the FAMU Transfer Student Association which helped transfer students transition more smoothly into university life. Prior to college life,Jason participated in the Jack and Jill organization.

On Friday, April 9, 2021, Jason closed his loving eyes and fell into eternal sleep, transitioning from this earthly life to live forever with his heavenly Father.

"Angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hands of God." This gives much comfort to those who are forever cherishing Jason's memory. Among them are his parents: James, Sr. and Tammy Moss Crumel, of Tallahassee, FL; brothers: Charod Sumpter, Sr. and Brian Crumel, both of Tallahassee, FL, and James, Jr. (Jesica) Crumel, of Orlando, FL; grandparents: Martha Crumel of Boca Raton, FL, Mark, Sr. and Shirley Hart, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; special cousin/sister: Ariel Moss of Deltona, FL; nephews: Charod "TJ" Sumpter, Jr. of Tallahassee, FL, and Samari Sumpter of Hastings, FL; and special friend: Jessica Washington of Tallahassee, FL; and a host of sorrowing and loving aunts, uncles,  cousins, other relatives, neighbors, co-workers, friends and the Rattler Nation.
