"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want." ~Psalm 23:1~
Jerome McKnight, son of William McKnight and Geneva Bryant McKnight, was born on March 29, 1954, in Madison, Florida. During his early years, he resided there in the Georgetown community. However, his last residency was in Clyattville, Georgia.
Preceding Jerome in death were his parents: William and Geneva McKnight; brothers: William McKnight, Jr. and Cleveland "Keybo" McKnight; and sister: Eula Mae McKnight.
Jerome was educated in the Madison County School System and graduated from Madison High School.
He later enlisted in the United States Navy and honorably served his country. Upon his return to his hometown after this life changing tour of duty, he began his civilian life experiences by seeking employment. His final job was construction work where he found peace in being in the great outdoors.
Jerome demonstrated his unconditional love of family and enjoyed sharing fun times with them. There was no question that he enjoyed listening to music. However, he really looked forward to being on the bank of his favorite pond or lake reeling in his "catch of the day", but most of all, he was proud that he was able to share.
Unfortunately, another leaf from the McKnight family tree has fallen. Jerome McKnight departed this earthly home on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. He is gone from everyone's sight but never from their hearts. Someone so special can never be forgotten. Loved ones who will miss Jerome McKnight until they meet again are his loving wife: Greta Haynes McKnight of Clyattville, GA; brother: Sylvester (Norma) Bellamy of Tampa, FL; sisters: Marie R. Adams and Connie Mae (Rev. Leonard) Ware, all of Madison, FL and Virginia (Stanley) Bennett of Tallahassee, FL; together with a host of other sorrowing relatives and compassionate friends.
