Mr. John Lee Alexander
1964 – 2023
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thou staff they comfort me." ~ Psalm 23:4
Mr. John Lee Alexander was born on December 3, 1964 to his loving parents, William Alexander, Sr. and Nellie Mae Williams Alexander. He grew up with his brothers and sister in Madison, Florida. It was during these earlier years that he expressed his belief in Jesus and accepted Him as his Savior.
John was preceded in death by both parents, his brother: Willie Alexander, and his sister: Mary Martha Alexander Dixon.
John was always pleasant, mild-tempered, soft-spoken, and easy-going. He got along with others, but he didn't need to hang out with the crowd. He found inner peace and enjoyment during his "me time" routine of listening to music and being the ultimate sports fan -especially football. Most of all, he thoroughly enjoyed giving his service by helping others.
John was educated in the Madison County Public School System. He was a member of the Madison County High School graduating class of 1982.
Soon afterwards, John began his work experience locally. However, he later decided to relocate to Tallahassee, Florida where he gained employment in the Florida State University Janitorial Services Department. He retired from that position after 20 years of dedicated and continuous service, and subsequently returned to Madison to be with family.
On Tuesday, October 24, 2023, John Lee Alexander bowed to a greater will than his own when he quietly transitioned from his labor to rest eternally in the presence of the Lord.
John Lee Alexander is gone from his loved ones' sight but never from their hearts. Those who will forever cherish his precious memories are his brothers: William (Ursula) Alexander of Denton, TX and John Wayne (Linda) Alexander, Sr. of Gainesville, FL; sorrowing nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; as well as his dedicated caregivers: Shalonda Dixon, Desja Smiley, and the staff at Lake Park Rehabilitation in Madison, FL.
