IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Wesley

A Life Well Sown
At dawn he rose to greet the day,
With steady hands and humble pride,
Working the fields where orange trees
Stood tall beneath the Florida sky.
The soil knew his faithful touch,
The sun his quiet strength,
For every harvest bore his mark—
A life of purpose, earned by length.
When labor’s call was gently stilled,
He found his peace by flowing streams,
Where waters whispered rest and calm,
And lines were cast with patient dreams.
There by the shore, his spirit smiled,
Free as the wind, unburdened, still,
Finding joy in nature’s grace
And moments shaped by simple will.
Now he rests beyond the fields,
Where toil is done and cares are few,
Called home by God to sweeter shores,
Where peace is fresh and mercies new.
We honor him in what he gave—
His work, his heart, his quiet way.
A life well sown, a harvest sure,
Forever remembered, day by day.
