Obituary

Brother Kendrix Bernard Haynes, Sr.
1982 - 2022
"Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me." - John 14:1

Brother Kendrix Bernard Haynes, Sr. brought much joy into the lives of his parents, Yvonne Haynes and Authur Lee Sandford, Sr. on January 22, 1982, the day he came into the world. He was fortunate to also be a product of the Pride Street "village" in Plant Subdivision of Madison, Florida. These neighbors looked out for each other and the children. He resided in the community until he moved to South Florida in 2002.

Preceding Kendrix in death are his father: Authur Lee Sanford, Sr., and brother: Authur Lee Sandford, Jr.

Kendrix accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at Jeslamb African Methodist Episcopal Church under the pastoral leadership of the Reverend Dozier J. "David" Balloon, Jr., who was also his neighbor and his ride to church most Sundays. Later in his life, Kendrix became a member of Trinity Church in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Kendrix graduated in the Class of 2000 from Madison County High School. Years later, he stepped out on faith by going to school for driving big rigs.

Kendrix learned early in life the importance of family and being responsible. As he matured, he assumed the role as the family protector of his grandmother, mother, and little sister. The lessons learned from this experience prepared him for his future responsibilities as a loving husband and a devoted father.

Because of his grandmother's influence, Kendrix was very passionate about helping the elderly. He was reliable, patient, and helpful as he assisted them any way he could. By doing so, he found joy, peace, grace, and divine favor.

It was evident to those who knew Kendrix that he believed in living life to the fullest, and he made a point of letting everyone know that "he's living the life". He enjoyed working, providing for his family, as well as taking time for self-care. He relaxed by watching TV shows that were popular when he grew up and are now in syndication – Taz, Knight Rider, Saved by the Bell, Family Matters, and The Jetsons.

Kendrix was always fascinated by cars, especially the older model box Chevy, as well as Caprice, and Dodge Challenger RT vehicles. This ultimately led to his thrill in distance truck driving. He worked for a Tennessee based trucking company, NASH Express.

Brother Kendrix Bernard Haynes, Sr. completed his assignment on earth and earned his heavenly wings. Therefore, the Lord chose Friday, October 21, 2022, to bring his precious angel home to rest. Well done, my good and faithful servant!
