"MY MAMA PRAYED FOR ME …. TOOK THE TIME AND PRAYED FOR ME" Born on December 12, 1960, LARRY JAMES SOLOMON, SR. was the son of James Benjamin Solomon and Mae Beulah Williams Sapp. His mother, supported by his Aunt Bessie and extended village, instilled in him that education was important, respect was mandatory, and God is holy. He was educated in the Madison County School District and was a 1978 graduate of Madison High School. He was a lifelong resident of Madison, Florida.
"MY SOUL IS ANCHORED IN THE LORD" LARRY accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior earlier in life and joined Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church – Madison. Under the leadership of Reverend Charles Evans, he brought Myriah and Zyterrian with him so they could worship together. They were faithful in attendance, involvement, and service.
"HOLD TO GOD'S UNCHANGING HAND" LARRY was a good person with a great personality. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. However, as he reflected on many life lessons he learned, he realized that he did not always make good choices, but he wanted the best for his grandchildren. He instilled in them the importance of doing better than he, for he wanted them to make him proud.
"THIS JOY THAT I HAVE" Following in his mother's footsteps, LARRY became an excellent cook/ chef/baker. He was gifted in grilling, cooking greens and making dressing. He also preprard specialty dishes, especially cakes, doobies, and many other desserts upon request. He provided many of these items for special occasions at church.
"JESUS, KEEP ME NEAR THE CROSS" LARRY James Solomon, Sr. believed in the promise Jesus made on the cross that by faith, he will be with him in Paradise. On Thursday, September 11, 2025, he departed this earthly life and transitioned to his eternal home." I'm So Glad She (Mae Beulah) Prayed for Me"
