Leonard Howard Butler Sr. began his life journey on September 16, 1957. He was born to Daisy Ridley and was adopted and raised by Frank and Mary Butler in Nashville, Tennessee. He departed this life on Friday, September 2, 2022, in Panama City, Florida.

He married Robbie Elaine Starnes on October 8, 1982, and to this union three children were born. Leonard joined Stones River Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Roger Russell.

Leonard received his education in the Davidson County Public School System. He drove Semi trucks for 41 long years. He also drove for Entertainers Couch Transportation and five years for Isoflex. All those acquainted with Leonard knew him as a loving and hardworking man.

Leonard is preceded in death by his birth mother, Daisy Ridley; and adoptive parents, Frank and Mary Butler; brothers, Phillip Ridley and Phillip Williams.

Leonard leaves to cherish his loving memory, a loving and devoted wife, Robbie Butler; children, Ebony Butler, Leonard Butler Jr. and Aretha Brooks; grandchildren, Kye Butler and Amelia Brooks; mother-in-law, Shirley (Richard) Batts; sisters, Sara Pitts and Linda Buchanan; brothers, Felix Ridley, Freddy Fisher and James Ridley; sisters-in-law, Gwen Ridley, Barbara Jackson, Shae Russell and Wanda (John Daniel) Russell; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
