Sister Linda Sue Davis Robinson
"Sue "
APRIL 20, 1960 – NOVEMBER 29, 2024
"Whoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die." ~ John 11:26 ~
Linda Sue Davis Robinson, the daughter of Harvey Chapman and Lula Mae Williams Davis, was born on April 20, 1960, in Madison, Florida. She was affectionately known as "Sue" by her family and friends. Her life reflected countless lessons she learned from her village. They encouraged her to keep God first in her life and to be a positive influence. This godly training remained with her throughout her life. Sue was a lifelong resident of Madison, Florida.
Sue was an outgoing person who never met strangers, for she considered them to be new friends she was waiting for an opportunity to meet or get to know. She was a blessing to everyone because of the warmth and genuineness of her personality.
Having a relationship with God was modeled by Linda Sue's village – the elders of her family and neighbors. Because of their spiritual leadership and Christian examples, she chose to "taste and see that the Lord is good." (Psalm 34:8) She professed her belief in Jesus Christ, was baptized by faith, and became a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church.
For her pastime enjoyment, Sue enjoyed sitting in the fresh air and sunshine where she could meditate while she was in the serenity of nature. At other times, she enjoyed listening to music, especially that of King George: The New Generation of Southern Soul and other soulful Rhythm and Blues greats of that era.
For the past 22 years, Linda Sue was the loving wife of James R. Robinson , whom she affectionately called "Jamesey."
On Friday, November 29, 2024, Linda Sue Davis Robinson gave up her fight for life on earth to rest eternally in the presence of the Lord.
Linda Sue Davis Robinson unconditionally loved her family, valued her friends, and treasured life journey itself. She has left them with an indelible impression and her unending love for them all. Those who will dearly miss her until they meet again are her loving husband: James R. Robinson of Madison, FL; concerned son: JaQuan Robinson of Madison, FL; devoted daughter: Stacey Stephens of Madison, FL; caring brothers: Pastor George (Marie) Williams, Kenneth Wilbur (Natalie) Davis, and Edward Lee Baker, Jr., all of Madison, FL; dutiful sisters: Mamie Ella Williams and Annie Ruth Adams, both of Tampa, FL, Sheila Ann (Elder Johnnie) Fudge of Madison, FL, and Bessie Mae (Melvin) Hunter of Deltona, FL; compassionate brothers -in -love: Willie (Gail) Robinson, Nathaniel Robinson, Tommie Lee Smith, and Herman (Evelyn) Robinson, all of Madison, FL; supportive sisters -in -love: Mary Pearson, Thelma Pearson, both of Madison, FL, Bessie Hunter and Rosa Mae House, both of MS, Rosetta Robinson, Louise Robinson, and Yvonne Robinson, all of Madison, FL; a special aunt: Mrs. Sue Baynard, of Madison, FL; as well as countless other sorrowing grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving forever friends.
