IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lonnie Cabreil
"Kane" Williams
April 16, 1977 – October 24, 2020
LONNIE "KANE" WILLIAMS was born on April 16, 1977, to Bessie Haines. He unexpectedly departed this life on October 24, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Tommy "Papa Jo" Haines, and his Godfather, Mr. Robert "Blake" Green. Like most people, Lonnie had plans for a full and prosperous life and set out every day to make the best of the time he had on earth.
A product of the Baker County School System, "Kane" as he was affectionately called took his education and skill set and began to make a life for himself through various employment opportunities. He will fondly be remembered and treasured for being a consistent caregiver and provider to and for his family. ""Kane" a rare friend and brother was seriously devoted to his family and friends. He was dependable, and his sterling character as a trustworthy person made him the example of what a husband and father should be.
Passionate about life "Kane" was known to live it every chance he could. When not handling the responsibilities and chores of the home he could be found playing his favorite sport: basketball or listening to music. His love of the game carried over to his children – he loved to play games with his kids. As a person he was laid back and friendly he never truly met a stranger. Everyone he came in contact with immediately fell in love with him. "Kane" was a quiet and secluded individual but once he warmed up to your presence – friendship became easy. He kept you laughing with an endless list of jokes.
Through the example of his wife and family, he was introduced to Christ and on April 28, 2019. He and his youngest daughter were baptized together at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. Family first was at the center of his life's focus and his faith in God will continually be reflected through his wife and their four children. It is said that "a relationship between a husband and wife should be one of closest friends" this was especially true for "Kane" and "Trice". They came to know each other over 12 years ago and their friendship turned into a relationship and later a marriage that lasted almost a decade. A loving, committed, and present husband are words that emulate his character. He loved doing things for his wife from the largest of tasks to simply bringing her a bath towel every night. To "Kane" no one was more important to him than "Trice" – she was truly the love of his life.
