Sister Margie Lee Groover Medley
July 14, 1949 – April 21, 2025
"Whoever Liveth and Believeth in Me Shall Never Die" ~John 11:26

Sister Margie Lee Groover Medley was born to Toney Groover and Susie Mae Brown Groover on July 14, 1949, in Madison, Florida. She was raised by a close-knit community of loving family members and concerned neighborhood friends. She was a lifelong resident of this area.

When Sister Margie Lee decided to follow Jesus, there was no turning back. Earlier in her life, she accepted Him with her personal confession and baptism and joined the community of believers. Acknowledging His amazing grace and mercy increased her love, faith, and dedication to Him and faithfulness to her church. The joy of the Lord was her strength. She let His light shine through her warm and inviting personality. It was her desire to always treat everyone as she wanted to be treated; this drew others in her presence.

Sister Margie Lee was a homemaker who was committed to creating a home environment for raising her children. She had a passion for cooking, and her meals and/or specialty dishes were always enjoyed and appreciated by them as well as other family and friends.

As Sister Margie began to advance in years, she became involved with other seniors at the Senior Citizen Council of Madison County. This gave her an opportunity to get away from the house and to mingle with others. She looked forward to socializing with them for fellowship, fun, food (meals), and engaging activities created for their weekly enjoyment.

"A thing of beauty is a joy forever." Sister Margie loved what-nots, especially unique ones. She enjoyed building her collection with items that reminded her of cherished moments spent with loved ones, friends, or those that were too beautiful to pass up. "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder."

Sister Margie Lee Groover Medley peacefully passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025. She is now resting in the arms of the Lord. Her passing leaves a void that words cannot fill, yet her legacy continues to be remembered in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved her.

Honoring the life Sister Margie Lee Groover Medley lived and the love she shared are her sons: Minister Carlos Beverly of Tallahassee, FL, and Roscoe Burt of Orlando, FL; daughter: Yvonne Robinson of Madison, FL; sister: Mary (Lydon) Perry of Madison, FL; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; many other sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding Sister Margie Lee Groover Medley in death were her parents: Toney Groover and Susie Mae Brown Groover; and brothers: Toney Groover, Jr. and Charles Brooks, Sr.
