MARQUIETTA NECOLE BOWENS-WHITE
1970 - 2026
“She is clothed with strength and dignity; and she shall rejoice in time to come.” — Proverbs 31:25 (KJV)
Marquietta Necole Bowens-White, affectionately known as “Necole,” was born on October 4, 1970, in Tallahassee, Florida. On May 23, 2026, God, in His infinite wisdom, called His beautiful daughter home to eternal rest. Though our hearts are deeply saddened by this tremendous loss, we find peace in knowing that a woman of grace, faith, and unwavering love has received her heavenly crown.
Necole was the embodiment of elegance, compassion, and quiet strength. She carried herself with dignity and warmth, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Her radiant smile, calming spirit, and genuine kindness made others feel valued, loved, and understood. To know Necole was to experience sincerity, wisdom, and unconditional love.
Her greatest joy in life was her beloved and only son, Alvin White II. She loved fiercely, supported wholeheartedly, and devoted herself completely to being his safe place, his encourager, and his biggest supporter. The bond they shared was rooted deeply in love, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion.
A proud graduate of Amos P. Godby High School, Class of 1989, Necole continued her education at Florida State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Family Child Sciences and a Master of Social Work degree. For more than three decades, she dedicated her life to serving others through social work and community outreach. She had a heart for children, students, and families facing difficult seasons in life. Her ability to listen, encourage, and uplift others made her a blessing to so many throughout the community.
Necole gave her life to Christ at an early age and remained a faithful member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church throughout her life. Her faith guided her daily walk, and she served faithfully through numerous ministries, including the Choir, Praise Team, Youth Department, Praise Dance Ministry, Vacation Bible School, and various church auxiliaries. Her favorite words, “Believe in yourself,” reflected the encouragement she constantly poured into others.
Necole embraced life fully and found joy in meaningful moments with those she loved. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking, fishing, avid FSU Seminole fan, and watching her favorite shows. She also shined through her talent for event styling and balloon artistry and creating lasting memories with family and friends. Green, her favorite color, reflected the peace, warmth, and life she carried so naturally. Her love for gospel music, especially “I Won’t Let You Fall,” mirrored the comfort and faith she gave to others throughout her life.
Though our hearts mourn her physical absence, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and deeply cherished. Necole leaves behind a legacy of faith, compassion, resilience, and unconditional love that will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her. Her grace was unforgettable, her spirit unmatched, and her memory eternal. Well done, good and faithful servant. Take your rest, Queen.
Necole leaves precious memories to be cherished by her loving father, Joe Bowens Sr.; her spouse, Alvin White Sr.; and her beloved and only son, Alvin White II. She is also survived by her cherished siblings: Joe Bowens Jr., Melerye (Samuel) Washington, Vickey Bowens, and Spencer Bowens Sr., all of Tallahassee, Florida; along with Bertha Bowens and Eloise (Otis) Chapel of Rochester, New York; her loving nieces, Alysia Bowens, Alyia Smith, and Allison (Eugene) Braxton; her nephews, Larry Brown and Spencer Bowens II; and a host of treasured great-nephews, a great-niece, relatives, dear friends, and beloved church family.
Necole was preceded in death by her loving mother, Lue Anna Bowens, and her beloved nephews, Nadrick Corbett and Sedrick Washington.
