"Baby Boy" I "Nick"
"Then My Living Shall Not Be in Vain"
NICHOLUS GERALD TERRY, known as "Nick" and "Baby Boy," was the youngest son of Jesse Terry and Issa B. Ware Terry. Born on February 8, 1965, he grew up in the Lovett Community of Greenville (Madison County), Florida. His upbringing emphasized love and respect for adults, consideration for others, and a strong work ethic. Nick was a lifelong resident of the Greenville Community.
Nicholus was family oriented. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and son-in-love. He loved everyone unconditionally and genuinely enjoyed the occasions they shared. To ensure their time together was enjoyable and memorable, he would go the extra mile by lending a helping hand and a willing heart.
Educated in the Madison County public school system, Nick later became a dedicated Madison County School District employee with 31 years of experience as a custodian at Greenville Primary School and Madison County Central School. His job performance reflected his parents' teaching, "Do an honest day's work to earn honest pay." He did that and more because he loved encouraging the students and they loved giving a shoutout to Mr. Nick. In addition to his career job, Nick worked in maintenance at the Red Onion Grill. He also helped to repair vehicles and could be counted on to do other odd jobs for neighbors.
One who loved to keep himself busy, Nick also looked forward to settling down during football season to enjoy Miami Hurricanes games. He proudly supported his team as their #1 fan. Also, because he constantly perfected his horseshoe tosses, he often challenged others to join him for a game.
Having fulfilled his purpose on earth, Nicholus Gerald Terry answered the Master's call on Thursday, May 1, 2025. His living was not in vain.
Nicholus Gerald Terry's life was a legacy of purpose, generosity, and endless love. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones and all others who knew him. Those who will celebrate the years of his earthly life are his loving wife of nearly 20 years, Sharhonda Howard Terry of Greenville, FL; sons, Ray McCullough and Antonio McCullough, both of Madison, FL; daughters, Keita Crumity of Madison, FL, and Annaleisha McCullough of Detroit, MI; brothers, Barry Terry of Monticello, FL, Frank (Nancy) Terry of Arcadia, FL, Jesse Terry, Jr., of Killeen, TX, and Ernest Brooks (regarded as a brother) of Greenville, FL; sister, Yolanda (Billy) Hatten of Monticello, FL; brothers-in-law, Antonio Hall of Lamont, FL, Thomas (Britni) Howard of Tallahassee, FL, Terrance Howard of Lamont, FL, and Brodenia Hampton of Madison, FL; sister-in-love, Natara Howard and Tabitha Howard, both of Thomasville, GA, Tameka Howard of Decatur, GA, and Janice Miller Terry of Valdosta, GA; mother-in love, Deborah Howard Hampton of Greenville, FL; along with countless other sorrowing relatives and sympathetic friends.
