Rickey A. Baynard
September 11, 1962 – December 20, 2024
"Slick Rick"
"Earth Has No Sorrow That Heaven Cannot Heal"

Rickey A. Baynard, the son of Nathaniel Burnett, Sr. and Beulah Baynard Linder, was born on September 11, 1962. He was a lifelong resident of Madison, Florida.

Rickey was a hard worker who loved his family, was loved by his family, and was a good provider for them. He was employed for the Matthew Combes Logging Company for many years. However, he was also gainfully employed at Badcock Home Furnishings & More.

Rickey was resourceful in creating job opportunities for himself. One of these was to tap into his entertainment talent as a disc jockey. Known as "DJ Slick Rick," he drew out crowds who socialized at Club 45 and at the Madison Skating Rink.

On Friday, December 20, 2024, Rickey A. Baynard departed this earthly life and transitioned to his eternal home. He is gone from his loved ones' sight but never from their hearts.

"It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God took you home." Loved ones who will miss Rickey A. Baynard until they meet again are his father: Nathaniel Burnett, Sr.; sons: Ricky A. Baynard, Jr., MarQuis Baynard, and Tramaine Baynard, all of Jacksonville, FL, Anton Baynard and Troy Hawkins, both of Madison, FL; daughters: Ashley Baynard of Quitman, GA, Tokethia Bryant of Madison, FL, and Shekea Weatherspoon of Live Oak, FL; brothers: Nathaniel Burnett, Jr. of Madison, FL, Tracey (Xavier) White of Lake City, FL, Joseph Linder of Tallahassee, FL; sisters: Vickie Burnett of Lake City, FL and Lizzie Ellick of Madison, FL; aunts: Minister Josie Mae Graham and Deloris Alexander, both of Madison, FL; uncles: Russell Baynard of Quitman, GA,  AC (Shantina) Aikens, Oscar (Carolyn) Aikens, Randolph (Mary) Aikens, all of Madison, FL and Willie G.
