"Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled; Ye Believe in God, Believe Also in Me." ~John 14:1

Rolaunda Triche Wilkerson, the beloved daughter of Aldoris J. Wilkerson and Dorothy Miller Wilkerson (Pouncel), was born on July 18, 1967, in Monticello, Florida. She was a resident of Greenville, Florida.

Rolaunda was family-oriented and closely involved with their lives. She was a devoted daughter, a loving mother, a fun sister, and an affectionate grandmother who, because of her unconditional love, supported them and sacrificed for them during their good times, sickness, and health.

Sister Wilkerson as a woman of strong faith. Earlier in her life, she chose to be a follower of Jesus. She was baptized and joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.  As she grew in grace and in faith, she became a faithful servant leader who rendered service as the church clerk, choir member, and youth director.

Sister Wilkerson was a compassionate person with a loving spirit that allowed her to relate to others across generations. She had an infectious smile but could also be straight forward with her responses.  She spoke with wisdom and was uplifting.

A 1985 graduate of Madison County High School, Rolaunda pursued her Associate of Arts degree at North Florida Community College (currently NFC). She later found her niche in the Department of Corrections (Taylor Correctional Institute before Madison Correctional Institute) and achieved the rank of Sergeant. Her work ethic, leadership, and character were impactful for reshaping many attitudes and behaviors. She was responsible for property and MAP. Because of her concern and vision for the inmates who had mental health difficulties, she was granted permission to initiate a partnership with the Florida State University Art Department to implement the MAP program which used the Holistic approach for mental health. The success of this program is that it is therapeutic for the inmates, it generated original art pieces worthy for placement in two art shows, and this program is now being considered for implementation in Africa.

She lived to die only to live again. On Friday, September 19, 2025, Almighty God, in His own way and for His own purpose, dispatched an angel from Heaven, and in the blink of an eye, Rolaunda Triche Wilkerson was brought to the Kingdom to receive her heavenly reward.

Another leaf from the Wilkerson family tree has fallen and is ingrained in the sands of time. Loved ones who expect to see Sister Rolaunda Triche Wilkerson again one day are her loving and devoted children: Jonathan Mitchell and Kaysona Jones of Madison, FL; brothers: Richardo (Valerie) Wilkerson of Marietta, GA,  Alonzo (Tosha) Wilkerson of Valdosta, GA; special friend: Jason Givens of Madison, FL; and grandchildren: Tatianna Jones and Kehlani Spencer, both of Madison, FL; along with many other sorrowing aunts, uncles, and cousins, loving MCI family, concerned classmates, and uplifting church family. She is greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Loved ones who preceded Sister Rolaunda Triche Wilkerson in death were her parents, Aldoris Wilkerson and Dorothy Miller Pouncel; and her brother, Zachery Wilkerson.
