It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rose S Cioffari, who departed this life on 4-12-2025, at the age of 97.

Born on 3-9-1928 in Poughkeepsie NY, Rose was the beloved daughter of James Verone and Lena Fanelli. She grew up in Poughkeepsie and attended Mother Cabrini in Esopus NY. She held various management positions throughout her working career, retiring early to raise her children. She was a loving wife, nurturing mother, and supportive grandmother.

Rose was known for her love of sports. She coached many different teams throughout the years and was a support system for many young people. She was also a devout catholic. Regularly attending mass and volunteering her time.

Rose is survived by her sister Carmella, daughters Dorothy and Lisa, grandson's Stephon and Jerry and preceded in death by her husband Joseph Sr, children Joseph Jr, Bernadette, and Regina.

Services are as follows, viewing will be held on Thursday April 24th from 6:00pm -8:00pm, at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 218 Mill St. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Wheelchair accessible entrance, located in the rear of funeral home on Vassar St. A  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on  Friday, April 25th,  10:00AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 99 Mill St. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
