Obituary

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing." - 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Samuel Lee McIntyre, was the son of James McIntyre and Ethel Straughter McIntyre born Tuesday, August 28, 1962. He grew up and spent his life between Madison County, Florida, and Sanford (Seminole County), Florida. Both parents and his sister Ruby Haynes, all preceded him in death.

Samuel was affectionately called "Sam", "Sam I Am", "Sam Bam", which fit his laid back, easy going personality. However, he was outgoing and a great conversationist who never met a stranger. He dearly loved his family and thoroughly enjoyed the quality times they shared. Freeing himself from daily stresses of the job and life itself and to connect with nature, he also loved spending much of his free time as an outdoorsman. He realized his greatest pastime enjoyments and successes were fishing and sharing his catch of the day.

Having accepted Christ earlier in his life, Samuel was a faithful member of Life Changing Ministries Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith in Perry, Florida.

Samuel was educated in the Madison County Public School System which prepared him with the life skills he needed for his real-world experiences. He then enrolled at Lively Vo-Technical School in Tallahassee, FL to earn his certification in plumbing. Samuel launched his career at Seminole Plumbing in Sanford, FL, before he returned to the North Florida community. Having learned new skills and techniques, Samuel gained employment with several companies between North and Central Florida earning over thirty years of experience.

Brother Samuel McIntyre, a loving and caring husband, father, brother, grandfather, cousin, uncle, and friend to all, transitioned to his eternal home on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

Forever cherishing his love and legacy are his loving and devoted wife: Patricia Lee McIntyre of Greenville, FL; sons: Nathan (Tiffany) Lee, of Monticello, FL, and Samonty McIntyre of Greenville, FL; daughter: Brandi Burnett of Gainesville, FL; brothers: Alvin (Michelle) McIntyre, Calvin (Equilla) McIntyre, Sedrick McIntyre, Dedrick (Wanda) McIntyre, all of Madison, FL, and Anthony McIntyre of Orlando, FL; sisters: Andrena McIntyre Parker of Tallahassee, FL, Loretta (Wilbur) Ealy of Sanford, FL, Patricia (Artis) Thompkins, and Diane (Jerry Frank) Pridgeon, all of Madison, FL; 18 grandchildren; mother-and-father-in-law: Sarah and Nathaniel Lee, Sr.; along with a host of other loving and sorrowing relatives and loving friends.
