Shaundrita Levicia Gallon was born in Madison County, Florida on May 11, 1983. She was the daughter of Willie Sr. and Nancy Ann Lee Gallon. Shaunda, as Shaundrita was lovingly known by family and friends, was the youngest of six children.
Shaunda grew up in her native Madison where she attended public schools, graduating in 2001 from Madison County High School. During her high school years, Shaunda gained notoriety as being one of the best women's basketball players in the southeastern United States. Her basketball talents resulted in her being highly recruited by several prestigious colleges and universities throughout the country. She attended Indian River Community College (Ft. Pierce, Florida), North Carolina Central University (Durham, North Carolina) and Palm Beach Atlantic University (West Palm Beach, Florida), where she earned her Bachelor's degree. After college, Shaunda worked several years in the corrections field. She had stints at Greenville Hills, Joann Bridges Academy and Madison Correctional Institution. During her leisure, Shaunda enjoyed music, art, dancing and spending quality time with family and friends.
Recognizing the need to be anchored in the Lord, Shaunda confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior and served as a member of Jeslamb African Methodist Episcopal Church.
On Monday, June 29, 2020, Shaunda gained her Heavenly wings when she unexpectedly went Home to be with her Lord. She leaves to cherish her love with fond memories, her mother: Nancy A.
