Shorea Danyell Aikens, born on October 19, 1976, was the beloved daughter of A.C. Aikens, Jr. and Debra Ford. Not only was she nurtured by them, but also her close-knit family members, and other concerned members of her village. Their influence shaped the values that guided her throughout her life. Madison, Florida, was her lifelong home.

Shorea had a captivating smile that reflected her inner and outer beauty. She was loving, selfless, versatile, and well respected by all. Nevertheless, if the situation called for it, she could become a little feisty, but in a respectful manner.

Shorea grew up attending Pineland Missionary Baptist Church where she actively participated in youth centered activities. At a significant point in her life, she embraced what was offered freely in grace. She made a personal commitment of faith, was baptized and received into membership there. Her life reflected her unwavering faith and remarkable resilience.

Educated in the Madison County School District, Shorea was a scholar who, during her senior year, earned school and district recognition on the 1994 Madison County High School Track and Field team. After graduating from high school, she enrolled in Keiser University to earn an Associate of Science degree in Medical Administration.

Shorea cherished her family and maintained close connections with them. She especially looked forward to having family gatherings where they shared meaningful times together for the enjoyment of food, fellowship, fun, family, faith, and the creation of fond memories.

Modeling the example set by her mother, Shorea was also a hard worker and great provider for her children.  She was employed as floor leader for Lowe's Distribution Center because she consistently demonstrated skill set, reliability, and leadership.

Shorea appreciated her leisure time, especially at the end of a busy day. She loved settling down in front of her television to watch her favorite shows and during football season, she was the #1 FSU Seminole fan. Another enjoyment of hers was occasionally eating a little chocolate even though she knew she could have an allergic reaction from doing so. On the other hand, because of her relaxation, she was often teased because of her habit of always running a little late.

Shorea Danyell Aikens' desire was to pursue many other things in life. For this reason, she was determined to overcome her condition with spiritedness. However, this was not a part of God's Divine plan, for His love for her was much greater, and it was time for her to come to her everlasting home. Therefore, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, she peacefully and obediently transitioned to eternal Glory where she was welcomed into His Kingdom to triumphantly receive her heavenly reward. Victoriously, she traded her agony and pain for the unspeakable joy in the Promise.

Shorea Danyell Aikens' enduring legacy is that of unwavering faith, endless love, resilience of strength, and steadfast determination. Her memory will continually shine brightly in the hearts of her loved ones who will always celebrate her life and love. Foremost are her devoted parents: Debra Ford (Sinclair Minor) and A.C. Aikens, Jr., all of Madison, FL; faithful sons: Tamarick Bruton, Dwayne Carter, Jr., Brandon Johnson, and Bryce Johnson, all of Madison, FL; loving daughter: Aysia Johnson of Madison, FL; compassionate siblings: Coydrick (Tracey) Aikens of Mansfield, TX, Cierra (Shad) Ford Johnson of Pooler, GA and Kim (Moe) Grant Dennis of Madison, FL; special friend: Bryan Johnson; many other sorrowing aunts, uncles, cousins in the Ford, Aikens, Robinson, and Graham families; as well as her comforting friends and caring coworkers.
