Life Story

A Time to Be Born

Timothy Philemon Herring entered this world on November 29, 2001, in Tallahassee, Florida, a precious gift to his loving parents, Robin Miller and Timothy L. Herring, Sr. From the very beginning, Timothy carried a gentle spirit, a bright mind, and a heart full of compassion—qualities that would shape his journey and touch every life connected to his own.

A Time to Believe

Timothy accepted Christ at an early age and united with God Church of Deliverance in Tallahassee, Florida. His faith grounded him, guided him, and remained a steady foundation throughout his life. He lived with a quiet strength and a sincere love for God that was reflected in his character, his kindness, and the way he treated others.

A Time for Education

Timothy was a proud product of Leon County Public Schools, completing his K–12 education with excellence. A distinguished scholar, he graduated from Godby High School in 2020 with Summa Cum Laude honors. His academic brilliance continued at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Biology, again graduating Summa Cum Laude. Timothy’s dedication to learning was unwavering—he pursued knowledge with purpose, curiosity, and a desire to help others.

A Time for Service and Work

Before beginning his professional journey at Florida A&M University, Timothy dedicated himself to serving children with special needs and disabilities through his work with Cayer Behavioral Group. In this role, he demonstrated remarkable patience, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping young people reach their fullest potential. His ability to connect with others, encourage growth, and provide meaningful support reflected the caring spirit that would become a hallmark of his life.

Timothy’s commitment to education and service continued at Florida A&M University, where he served as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Psychology. There, he quickly earned the respect and admiration of faculty, staff, and fellow students through his professionalism, dependability, and positive attitude. His strong work ethic, leadership abilities, and dedication to excellence led to his promotion as an OPS Staff Assistant within the department. Whether assisting students, supporting departmental initiatives, or carrying out his daily responsibilities, Timothy approached every task with integrity, humility, and a sincere desire to uplift those around him. His contributions left a lasting impression, and his legacy of service, kindness, and dedication will long be remembered by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

A Time to Mourn

Timothy leaves behind a legacy of love, brilliance, and kindness. He will be forever cherished by his devoted mother, Robin Miller of Tallahassee, Florida; his father, Timothy L. (KaShauna) Herring, Sr. of Tallahassee, Florida; and his siblings: Monica Porter of Bainbridge, Georgia; Shamira (Xavier) Eustay of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Timothy Herring, Jr. (Takelia) of Marianna, Florida; Kendrick Herring; and Isaiah (Leah) Herring of Tallahassee, Florida.

Timothy was a loving and protective big brother to Maiya, Dwaron, AnJaiya, Amelia, Dominic, Demetre, and Nyra. He also leaves his grandparents, Jazzie and Doug Whitaker of Tallahassee, Florida, and grandmother Gracie Bostic of Havana, Florida.

He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces Anndrea, Arianna, Alexis, Anaesha, and Aaliyah, and his nephews Antonio and Ariyone. His memory will also be cherished by his aunt Patricia Herring, his godmother Verna Paul, and his uncles Douglas Whitaker (Kenisha), Alfred Bostic, Ronnie James, Anthony Simmons (Selena), Dr. Gregory D. Bostic, Tony Herring (Erica), Maurice Herring, and Gary Jones, along with a host of devoted aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends who were blessed by his presence.

A Time to Remember

Though Timothy’s earthly journey ended far too soon, the love he shared, the brilliance he displayed, and the lives he touched will continue to shine brightly. His legacy is one of excellence, faith, compassion, and purpose. Those who knew him will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
