Mrs. Toni Lanette Anderson Johnson
June 30, 1965 – August 9, 2024
"Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day…" ~ II Timothy 4:8

Toni Lanette Anderson Johnson was a bright-eyed bundle of joy who delighted her parents, Jimmy Thompkins and Diane Anderson, when she came into the world on June 30, 1965. Her bright-eyed smile lit up any room, and it was not long before she became "the apple of their eye". However, later in life, she was also blessed to have received love and parental guidance from her other dad, Reverend Matthew Combes. She was a resident of Madison, Florida.

Preceding Toni in death were her brothers, Michael Bevel and Octavious Thompkins, Sr.

"This joy that she had, the world didn't give to her and the world couldn't take it away." Her dazzling smile attracted people to her. For that reason, she never encountered strangers. She regarded them as individuals she would eventually meet.

Toni created more beauty in the world through her love of people. Just as she had room to share her light with friends, she shared a special place in her heart for the blending of siblings and relationships within the family. She also saved a special place in her heart for her husband of six years, Harold Johnson, III.

Her joy reflected the light and love of Jesus. She received in faith what He offered in grace. She began her work for Him as a servant leader who worshipped Him in spirit and truth. Her love for singing gave her the opportunity to make a joyful noise in the choir and to later assume the leadership role as choir president at New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church.

Toni was a 1983 Madison County High School graduate who furthered her education by receiving her Associate of Science degree at Keiser University and the Ultimate Medical Academy for medical billing and coding, and substitute teacher. Each experience was another opportunity to give her God given talent in a more excellent way.

Determined to seek employment opportunities, Toni had a variety of memorable work experiences, including Reeves Romper Room Daycare teacher/mom and Royal America (Greenville Pointe and Southern Villas) Property Manager. She was also employed at her dad's company, M.C. Logging, as a secretary.

She was an intelligent young lady who gave her best effort to whatever she attempted on and off the job. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and her specialties were always sought after. In addition to her being regarded as the "casserole queen". She likewise got raving reviews for her mouthwatering pound cakes.

When Toni settled down after a busy day, she was a bookworm who would lose herself in the pages of a delightful book. On the other hand, whenever she wanted a good laugh or to offer sensible advice to the actors, she watched Tyler Perry television series and movies – "Sistas", "House of Payne", "The Oval", "Diary of a Mad Black Woman", and "Madea Goes to Jail" – are just a few.

The joy of the Lord was her strength, and joy was her key to her victory. Because her soul was anchored in the Lord, she, in the twinkling of an eye, joyfully answered the Master's call. She was welcomed into the Kingdom to receive her heavenly reward on Friday, August 9, 2024. Her soul is now resting in the presence of the Almighty in Paradise.

Because Toni uniquely impacted each loved one's life in her distinct way, they will continue to hold close to their hearts the everlasting memories that unite them as family.
