Hope, Arkansas
In Loving Memory of Tony Wayne Lawson
October 8, 1971 – October 14, 2026
“T-Dogg”
With heartfelt sympathy, J.P. Moore Mortuary & Cremation Services acknowledges the passing of Mr. Tony Wayne Lawson, 55, of Hope, Arkansas, formerly of Taylor, Arkansas, who peacefully transitioned from this earthly life on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare in Tallahassee, Florida.
Born on October 8, 1971, in Taylor, Arkansas, to the late Carrie Lee Lawson-Prevo and Curtis Johnson, Tony was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and hardworking man whose life was a testament to dedication, humility, and love for family.
Affectionately known as “T-Dogg,” Tony was a man who never met a stranger. Whether enjoying a day of fishing, mud riding, grilling, cooking, or simply sharing laughter with loved ones, he found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was known for his sense of humor, sound advice, strong work ethic, and willingness to mentor others. As a superintendent with Rimcor Inc. and a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Tony demonstrated leadership, commitment, and faith throughout his life.
Above all, Tony treasured his role as a father and “Papa.” His greatest legacy lives on through the family he loved so dearly and the countless lives he touched along life's journey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two cousins, Keith Lawson and Clifton Lawson.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Cynthia Hill; his children, Treyvon Lawson (MaKayla), Keontaye Wesley, and Rashaud Wesley; his beloved grandchildren, Kinsley Lawson, Treyshaun Lawson, Rilynn Lawson, Keegan Wesley, Adalyn Wesley, Hazilyn Wesley, Ava Wesley, and Everleigh Wesley; his brothers, William Robinson, Timothy Lawson Sr. (Kristin), Michael Robinson, Roderick Robinson, and Stephen Robinson; his sisters, Lori Lawson and Rosalind Robinson; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.
Final Farewell and Celebration of Life
Funeral services celebrating Tony's life were held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Garrett Memorial Baptist Church in Hope, Arkansas, with the Reverend Terry Johnson officiating. Interment followed in Scott's Memorial Garden Cemetery in Perrytown, Arkansas, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home of Hope, Arkansas.
