Willie Howard
Solomon, Jr.
April 18, 1953 – November 22, 2021
"Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." – Psalm 23:4
Willie Howard Solomon, Jr. brought much happiness and joy into the household of Willie Howard Solomon, Sr. and Fannie White Solomon on April 18, 1953, the day he came into the world. He was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, FL. Preceding him in death were both parents and two sisters: Diane Johnson and Dorothy Lee.
Willie Howard was educated in the Duval County School District. In the years that followed his formal education, he chose a career in agriculture. He loved the farm experience of being in the fresh air and sunshine, operating farm equipment, and playing a major role in the production of the farm goods. He was most dependable, as well as an excellent worker.
Willie will be remembered for his many loves – spending quality time with family and creating memories with them, amazing everyone with his fashion statements, and enjoying fun times with both his family and friends. He especially loved listening to music and perfecting his billiard skills so that he could challenge anyone to a game of pool.
Willie accepted the Lord as his Savior early in his life and affiliated in the Baptist faith.
On Monday, November 22, 2021, Willie Howard Solomon Jr., quietly transitioned from his labor to rest eternally with the Lord. Although many hearts are broken, his life will be remembered for the compassion he had for others and for the countless lives he touched.
The keepers of his cherished memories are his daughter: Latonya (Gary) McIntosh of Tallahassee, FL; brother: Isaac Johnson of Gainesville, FL; sisters: JoAn (James) Bruce and Jackie Solomon, all of Jacksonville, FL; brother-in-law: Robert Lee of Jacksonville, FL; three beloved grandchildren: Bobby J. (Iman) Williams, III of Madison, FL, Eddrick S. (Jazzmin) Williams, of Tallahassee, FL and Imani C. Boldin of Tallahassee, FL; two adorable great-grandsons; a devoted friend: Minister Bee Johnson of Jacksonville, FL; along with a host of other sorrowing relatives, friends, and neighbors.
