Life Story
MR. GREGORY WILLIAMS
1970 -2022

On December 26, 1970, Gregory Williams brightened the lives of Eddie Mack Williams, Sr. and Dorothy Haynes Williams in Miami, Florida. He resided in Homestead, Florida most of his adult life; however, he had family and occasional job interests in Madison. Preceding him in passing were his parents: siblings: Lewis Williams, Jerry Williams, Brenda Roberson, Laverne Williams, and father-in-law: John Mitchell.

Gregory loved his family, and he worked hard to provide for them. He took advantage of educational opportunities to expand his business possibilities. He received certification as a brick mason, worked as an electrician as well as a truck driver. He enjoyed the challenges and the successes that his professions presented.

Gregory especially loved life itself. He took time for self-care by relaxing on fishing trips or just by listening to the soulful slow jams. He looked forward to using this quality time to create lasting memories with his family. He loved to travel and took the family on at least two trips each year.

Gregory was a Christian who professed his belief in God and later in life he practiced the Muslim faith.

On Tuesday, September 6, 2022, and in Madison, FL, Gregory Williams was unexpectedly called from earthly time to time eternal.

It's hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember. Mourning Gregory Williams ' passing while cherishing his life, love, and legacy are his devoted wife of nearly 20 years: Margaret Mitchell Williams of Homestead, FL; sons: Trymaine Mitchell, Sr. and Cory Mitchell, Sr., both of Homestead, FL; four grandchildren; brothers: Eddie Mack (Phyllis) Williams, Jr., of Ocala, FL, Frederick (Liz) Williams of Homestead, FL, and Allen Roberson, of Jacksonville, FL; sister: Grace (John Lee) Jackson of Madison, FL; mother-in-law: Annie Mitchell of Homestead, FL; sister-in-law: Stephanie (Eddie) Powell of Sumter, SC; brothers-in-law: Davis Brown, Willie Mitchell, and Norman (Jhen) Mitchell, all of Homestead, FL; special friends: Frederick Horton, Steven Knox, Johnny Demery, and Robert Butler; along with a host of sorrowing relatives and loving friends.
